Unfortunately, this version of It Takes Two does not have cross-platform play, meaning those on different devices can't play with someone on the Nintendo Switch. In both scenarios involving two Nintendo Switch devices, all a person has to do is send an invitation for a player to join them in a game. If the two players are on different Wi-Fi networks, they must each get the game on their device and then connect through Online Co-Op.
